O personagem icônico de V de Vingança pode ter tido maneirismos diferentes se o diretor tivesse decidido escolher sua primeira escolha para o papel. James Purefoy habitou o personagem de V por 6 semanas inteiras de filmagem antes de ser decidido que ele não poderia se emocionar adequadamente usando uma máscara. Hugo Weaving foi convidado para assumir o papel de V, e é sua representação que "vemos" no filme.

The iconic character of V for Vendetta may have had different mannerisms if the director had decided to choose his first choice for the role. James Purefoy inhabited the character of V for 6 whole weeks of filming before it was decided that he could not be moved properly by wearing a mask.
